At the heart of every one of our artisan hand-poured candles is our carefully chosen wax—coconut apricot wax—a premium blend that reflects our commitment to quality, sustainability, and your well-being. And while there are many important components that go into making a high-quality, safe, and luxury candle - wax is the most essential component!
So why did we choose coconut apricot wax over other more traditional options like paraffin or soy?
1. Cleaner, Longer-Lasting Burn
Coconut apricot wax is one of the cleanest-burning waxes available. It’s free of petroleum byproducts, which means that when it burns in a candle it releases much less soot or harmful chemicals in the air you breathe - so it provides a cleaner and safer burn for you, your family, and your furry loved ones. Our wax blend is free of parabens and phthalates, carcinogens, gluten, and mutagnes. It is also Proposition 65 compliant and cruelty-free.
It also burns more slowly because it is a lower viscosity wax, meaning it is a more efficient burn and lasts almost twice as long as traditional soy wax candles.
2. Superior Scent Throw
Another one of our absolute favorite qualities of this gorgeous wax is that it holds fragrance exceptionally well, offering a rich and balanced scent experience whether the candle is lit (hot throw) or simply sitting pretty on your shelf (cold throw). You’ll notice the difference the moment you open the lid. When we first tried this wax, we were taken aback at how well it the beautiful scents fill the space compared to other candle waxes!
3. Sustainably Sourced
Coconut apricot wax is manufactured with hydrogenated coconut meat or oil and is mixed with apricot oils to create a solid wax. Both coconuts and apricots are renewable, eco-conscious resources for creating this luxurious wax. Coconuts require minimal water and resources to grow, and the addition of apricot wax offers a smooth, creamy texture that’s both sustainable and elegant.
4. Beautiful, Even Burn
Coconut apricot wax has a smooth, creamy appearance and an incredibly even burn. It melts slowly and evenly across the surface, reducing tunneling and maximizing your candle’s life—because luxury should last.
5. Vegan, and Gentle on Sensitive Noses
Thanks to its lower melting point and more efficient burn, coconut apricot wax produces less heat and smoke. This makes it ideal for people with fragrance sensitivities or allergies, offering a luxurious sensory experience without the irritation.
Additionally, because the ingredients in this wax are plant-based, this wax blend is gentler on the senses—helping to minimize potential allergens and making it a kinder option for those with sensitivities.
